Based in the heart of Houston, Surge Energy America is an oil and gas company with

production focused in the Permian Basin area of Texas. This industry leader, which was named a Best

Place to Work by the Houston Business Journal for two years in a row, is proud of its positive

environment that fosters success in the energy field.

In order to incorporate the mindset of Surge’s office into its aesthetics, Workspace Resource

collaborated with Inventure on the design of common area furniture and modern finish selections to

match the look and feel of their Class A space. Deep blue tones with paired with earthy hues throughout

enhance the ambience of Surge’s space. Accomplishing our goals in a cost-effective way, we utilized

some of Surge’s existing furniture by moving offices around and kept some solid-surface conference

tables that fit with their design objectives. We also brought in seating from 9 to 5 and a custom quartz

table that will facilitate many of their business meetings in their conference room. This space will allow

their guests and staff to collaborate in comfort and style.

Surge wanted its employees to continue to work in an environment that would empower them to have

the mental space they need to feel supported in their hard work. We built a game room for breaks and

lounge areas with standing-height meeting tables that allow for multifunctionality. These common areas

come with furniture from brands such as OFS, Encore, and Davis. The private offices foster productivity,

with executive office furniture installed from Halcon.

We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to create this space for Surge and its employees and know

that the benefits of their vision will impact the business for years to come. This unique design speaks of

both fun and function, and we look forward to collaborating with Surge Energy America in the future on

their workspace projects.
