The 7 Coolest Coworking Spaces In Houston — Say Bye To Boring

December 31, 2021

By Workspace Resource

It’s been two years since the covid started and it has completely disrupted and revolutionized how we think about offices and working spaces.

As we have seen in the past two years, the monotonous, old-fashioned offices were perhaps not that important. We could all work in PJ’s from the comfort of our homes.

But there is still a need for the offices because, let’s be honest, working from home can stink.

Everything is messy and out of place (I hope you never see the space around me as I’m writing this). This has certainly taken a toll on our productivity, and what’s worse is that we can no longer keep our personal and professional lives separate.

We need an alternative–something in between the office and home. Something fun and friendly like home but organized like an office. You know the word… Co-working.

Co-working isn’t a new thing, though. The concept was first introduced around 1995, and now, two decades later, it has changed how we think about working spaces.

Co-working spaces are in vogue lately for all the right reasons. Their culture and atmosphere increase work satisfaction and productivity. In fact, a study by Harvard Business Review shows that people in co-working spaces show higher levels of thriving.

So, to make things easier for you, we have compiled a list of some of Houston’s coolest co-working spaces. They allow you to break from the bland, robot-like environment of the old-school offices without compromising your productivity.

These shared working spaces are exquisitely designed to provide the best work/play experience. All the places mentioned offer excellent service to their members and have received tons of positive feedback.

Here are the 7 most chic co-working office spaces in Houston.

WeWork

The open workspace at WeWork in Houston, Texas.

WeWork is a global name and holds a special place in Houston’s co-working space scene. With four different locations, each having unique features and amenities, WeWork serves anyone and everyone.

WeWork offers a complete co-working experience. It caters to everyone’s needs by offering private offices, small studios, and enterprise office spaces.

The workspace is fully optimized to keep a healthy atmosphere for its members. The improved HVAC protocols keep the fresh air flowing into the building. Proper sanitizing equipment, such as hands-free dispensers, is installed, and intensive cleanings are in place. The seats in the meeting rooms and shared spaces are adjusted to ensure personal space.

Except for the Woodlands, all other locations have a dedicated, private, and lockable mother’s room. So, if you have a precious darling you can’t leave alone, this could be the best co-working option for you in Houston.

The price of renting offices is not fixed. It varies based on the sizing and layout per location. You can contact their staff for further detail.

Wicowork

Wicowork's charming and unique midtown coworking office space.

This one has to be Houston’s most unique co-working space. Why? Because it’s not located in some soaring corporate tower, instead, it’s a remodeled house in Midtown.

The premises are gated and offer a great outdoor working experience. You can bring your bike inside and leave it unlocked.

Its bright colors, funky artworks, and delightful interior design make the entire house a work of art in itself. It blends the elements of home and office to make it a dreamy place from a fairy-tale.

Wicowork takes the “Most Aesthetically Pleasing Houston Coworking Space” award.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find their website and pricing details. You can check out their Facebook page or call them for more information.

Industrious Houston

Industrious Houston's modern shared office space with large glass walls.

Industrious Houston is perfect for anyone looking for a modern, hip, Millenial-esque coworking space in Houston. The place is excellently designed to accelerate productivity.

It’s grand and spacious with a beautiful WiFi-enabled patio for a great outdoor working experience. The indoor space is bright with ample natural light.

I don’t know why but the word “industrious” made me picture a claustrophobic, kafkaesque place congested with people, but Industrious Houston was just the opposite.

The space has a calm and relaxed feeling, perhaps due to its sapphire-tinted glass doors (and outdoor greenery). It also looks sleek and “expensive” despite being minimalist. The neighborhood is also great, with gardens, fountains, and lots of greenery.

Industrious Houston definitely takes the title of the “Most Modern Houston Coworking Space.”

Renting a private office costs $585/month while all other plans have varying prices, and you can check the official website for details.
