Client Goal

Achieving a certain look

Client had a vision board of design elements that they wanted to incorporate for their space, and we were able to provide furniture recommendations that fit the aesthetic of their building. The overall aesthetic of their restaurant is a modernized homage to their New Orleans roots, and they wanted the furniture to blend in with that rather than stand out.

About The Project

Located in The Woodlands, Schilleci’s New Orleans Kitchen brings the flavors, character, and hospitality of New Orleans to the heart of the community. As the restaurant developed its space, the goal was to create an environment that felt like a modernized homage to its New Orleans roots while maintaining a polished and cohesive dining experience.

Workspace Resource collaborated with Derek Webb of DEK Studio, working closely with the design team and Zach Schilleci throughout the project. The client came to the project with a clear vision board of design elements they wanted to incorporate, and our role was to recommend furniture solutions that complemented the overall aesthetic of the space. Rather than having the furniture become a focal point on its own, the selections were intentionally chosen to blend seamlessly with the architecture, finishes, and atmosphere of the restaurant.

The project included furnishings for the interior dining area, bar, and exterior dining spaces. Inside, Stellar Works Utility bar chairs and Bernhardt Design Chloe chairs provide comfortable seating while maintaining the clean, elevated look of the restaurant. Beaufurn wood tabletops paired with Special-T bases were selected for the dining areas, creating a warm and versatile foundation throughout the space.

One of the more customized elements of the project was the banquette seating created by Venue Industries. Designed with channel and tufting details, the banquettes added texture, comfort, and a tailored feel that complemented the restaurant’s New Orleans-inspired design. For the outdoor dining area, Grand Rapids Bowen tables were paired with Summer Classics Monaco chairs to create a comfortable and inviting extension of the interior experience.

We are proud to have partnered with Schilleci’s New Orleans Kitchen and DEK Studio to help bring this distinctive space to life. The finished restaurant strikes a balance between modern sophistication and the warmth and character associated with New Orleans, creating an environment that enhances the dining experience without taking attention away from what Schilleci’s is known for—great food, hospitality, and a memorable atmosphere.
